2011 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Transfer Policy

Registrants in the 2011 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon who are unable to participate may transfer their entry to another person. The transfer option will be available beginning January 10, 2011 through April 6, 2011 5 P.M. EDT. There will be a $20 administration fee associated with all transfers that the person transferring into the Mini-Marathon will incur upon registration.

 

How the Transfer program works

Registrants wishing to transfer their entry to another person must first find an individual who wishes to receive or purchase their entry. Persons wishing to enter the Mini-Marathon must first find someone wanting to transfer out of the race. The 500 Festival does not keep a “waiting” list of people wishing to enter or transfer out of the Mini-Marathon.  We recommend checking local and national running websites for people looking to transfer into or out of the Mini-Marathon.

 

Payment of the original entry fee is the responsibility of the parties transferring the entry.

 

The person transferring INTO the Mini-Marathon MUST complete the Transfer Request application. Because a race waiver is required, ONLY the person transferring into the Mini-Marathon can fill out the Transfer Request application. You will be required to supply the name and confirmation number from the original application to complete the Transfer Request application. You will be required to pay the transfer administration fee at that time.

Once the name and confirmation number has been matched to the entry database, an email will be sent to both parties confirming the approval of the Transfer Request. 

 

Transfer Terms and Conditions

 

All transfer requests (“Requests”) must be received by the 500 Festival by April 6, 2011 by 5 P.M. EDT.

  1. 1.     Transfer policy only applies to the Mini-Marathon (half-marathon). No Requests for transfer for the Finish Line 500 Festival 5K or 500 Festival Training Series presented by OrthoIndy events will be accepted.

    2.     A Request is not a request for a refund of the entry fee. All entry fees are the responsibility of the parties requesting the transfer. The Request is not a request for deferment of the entry.

    3.     The person transferring into the Mini-Marathon must complete the Transfer Request application.

    4.     All transactions are final.

    5.     Transfer requests are only available on-line.

    6.     There is a $20.00 Transfer administration fee that the person taking over the registration will incur upon registration.

    7.     Upon receipt of the Transfer Request application, the 500 Festival will confirm the name and confirmation number of the transferor (participant transferring out of the Mini-Marathon). If the name and confirmation number matches the entry database, the Request will be accepted and the parties notified via email. Please allow 2 business days for the confirmation email to be sent.

    8.     Seeding requests and starting corral (based on estimated finish time) are non-transferable. The transferee (participant transferring into the Mini-Marathon) will be assigned to a starting corral based on their estimated finish time. If the transferee wishes to apply for special seeding, all applicable seeding requirements apply, including the requirement for proof of time and deadline of March 9, 2011.

    9.     Any additional items purchased with the original application will be transferred upon request if the Transfer Request is approved. If an item has already been mailed to the original applicant, exchange of the item is the responsibility of the parties. Additional purchased items not transferred are non-refundable.     10.  If the transferee wishes to purchase any additional items, these purchases can be added to the transfer application. The payment for the additional items purchased will be required at the time you submit the transfer application.

    11.  The 500 Festival reserves the right to deny a Request for any reason at its sole discretion. The 500 Festival also reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this policy at any time.

    12.  A confirmation postcard will be mailed to the new registrant.
