Join the 500 Festival as we celebrate the month of May in Indy! It might be the sight of 35,000 runners streaming through the city streets on the first Saturday in May or seeing bands, celebrities, spectacular floats or a favorite driver the day before the race. It might be the spine-tingling sensation of 33 race cars, lined up in 11 rows of three, roaring down the front stretch at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to take the start at the hallowed “Yard of Bricks.” It might be the winner drinking the coveted bottle of milk while posing with the Borg-Warner Trophy. Whatever part of the magical month captures fans’ imagination, everything in May in Indianapolis centers around two things: SPIRIT and SPEED.

Hosted by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, the public is invited to salute Hoosier mayors and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition, attendees witness the crowning of the 2008 500 Festival Queen. The tradition brings the community together in celebration of both the 500 Festival and the Indianapolis 500 with breakfast, keynote speaker Bobby Rahal, the 33 500 Festival Princesses, followed by a the third day of qualifications at the track. Individual Reserved Seats - $60; Table Purchase (10 tickets - seated together) - $750.

American Family Insurance 500 Festival Community Day, Wednesday, May 21
It's all-access all day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! Go behind the scenes with suite and race control tours. Wander Gasoline Alley, tour the team garages or get an autograph from your favorite Indy 500 drive or have your photo taken with the Borg-Warner trophy. You can even take the family for a spin around the 2.5-mile oval in your own vehicle! Admission is $7 and includes admission to the Hall of Fame Museum. Children ages 6 and under are admitted for free.

500 Festival Character Breakfast; Saturday, May 24

Kick-off the IPL 500 Festival Parade experience with all of your kid’s favorite characters. The Character Breakfast includes a full breakfast buffet, a $10 Jillian’s game card and one IPL 500 Festival Parade ticket (a reserved bleacher seat). This valuable package gives you everything you’ll need for a full day of fun! Characters appearing in the IPL 500 Festival Parade will join us for this exciting family event. Tickets are $25 per person with children 2 and under admitted for free.

Don't miss the 51st IPL 500 Festival Parade. It's one of the nation's premier parades featuring celebrities, breathtaking floats, marching bands, giant balloons, special entertainment groups and the 33 starting drivers of the Indianapolis 500.
