Registration is now open for the 2023 Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, which will take place on Sunday, May 14, from 12:30-2:30 pm in downtown Indianapolis.
Children ages 3-10 are invited to get active and participate in a non-competitive fun run. The Rookie Run introduces kids to the basics of running and an event where they can experience the thrill of a start line, a massive cheering section, water and snacks as they cross the finish line, and the reward of earning an iconic finisher medal.
Registration is available online at indymini.com/RookieRun for $10 until May 10, and includes a commemorative shirt, goodie bag, bib, and finisher medal. On-site registration will be available the morning of the event for $5, which includes the medal, bib and goodie bag only. Shirts can be purchased for an additional $5 while supplies last.
“The Rookie Run is one of our most impactful and exciting youth events,” said 500 Festival President and CEO Bob Bryant. “We enjoy providing an experience to kids and families where they can be active in the community, experience a fitness activity, achieve goals, and build confidence.”
The Rookie Run takes place in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, just one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian streets, and during the Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase Kids’ Day. Race distances are set based upon a child’s age.
