STUDY TRIP GUIDE

500 Festival and Indianapolis 500 Education Program, presented by Indiana University Health

If you like racing, enjoy spending time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and want to make a difference in a 4th grader’s day, this is the opportunity for you! Our free Education Program is provided to thousands of 4th-grade classrooms across Indiana. Its Indiana Academic Standards-based lessons help teach Indiana history, math, reasoning, and other skills. After studying in the classroom, schools have the opportunity to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in April for an educational study trip.

Study Trip Guide

With thousands of students registered for study trips to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to host Indiana elementary schools at the track, leading them to the different learning stations throughout the day. You’ll play a critical role in a day that they will never forget. Experience isn’t necessary to volunteer at our Study Trips! We’ll provide you with the schedule and training – all you have to do is lead the way!
